Even though I haven’t had much to blog about in the last few months, I’ve been playing a lot and detailed update on where I’m at will be incoming shortly! In the meantime, I’ve been trying to recover from my recent month-long piano break (I was abroad).
I’m getting Scarlatti prepared for a recital at the end of this month and one of the best ways to critique oneself, and prep for performance is to hear yourself. In this case, I’m also learning how to record myself at home. Keep in mind that this is just a draft, and I hope future recordings will be far far better. 🙂
So here we have it: The second half of Scarlatti’s k27 – part of a couple draft recordings to help me prepare for performing it. Played on a Kawai RX-2 and recorded with a single Samsung C01U condenser mic. (Two mics would’ve been better for stereo – considering investing in a second!) Enjoy!
